Uptown Kids Toy Event

Drop off dates/times (at address above, NOT at Uptown Kids):

  • Sunday, November 17th: 12 – 6:00pm (select items 25% off)!

Uptown Kids is having a holiday toy consignment sale at a separate storefront in the same shopping center! Consignors can sell their larger toys, in excellent or like new condition, without waiting! Payment goes directly into your Uptown Kids consignor account for immediate use to purchase great gift items at the toy event, Uptown Kids, or Our Friends’ Closet! (Of course you are also welcome to receive a check for your sales!)

How does it work?

Consignors have 3 drop off days at the Toy Event Location for gift quality toys. Click here for the 2 page list of accepted toys.

Drop off dates/times:

Sunday, November 10th: 12N – 5pm

Monday, November 11th: 9am – 3pm

Tuesday, November 12th: 9am – 4pm

Toys cannot be dropped off at Uptown Kids while the Holiday Toy Event is in progress. Following this toy event, any unsold toys will be moved to Uptown Kids and remain for sale. (Space dependent)

Not a current consignor, but want to sell toys at this event?

Stop by Uptown Kids at your earliest convenience and set up your account. There is a 1 time $10 account set up fee, which is not only for the sale, but will cover future consignment at either Uptown Kids or Our Friends' Closet.

What is the split for Toy Event sales?

The split will be the same as at Uptown Kids. 50/50.

What preparation is needed to drop off toys?

Toys should be current and on our list of accepted toys, in excellent or like new condition, be clean, and have all additional parts included and secured to the toy. Please check for recalls at http://www.cpsc.gov . Click here for tags that you can print at home and attach to your toys, either with cable ties or tape. (We will have tags and supplies at the drop off site if needed). You will need your name (or initials), consignor number, item description, price, and to specify if you would like your item sold at 25% off on the last day.

If you aren’t sure what to price your item, we can help you at drop off. However, as a guideline, we normally price toys 1/3 to 1/2 of the Retail price. New toys can sometimes be priced at 60% of retail, depending on popularity and demand.

Is there anything I shouldn’t bring?

Please only bring toys on the requested toy list. These are our biggest sellers. We also do not take toys older than 5 years, recalled toys, or toys in less than excellent condition. We are not taking used board games or puzzles at this event because of the risk of missing pieces. If you have video games or video game systems, please take those directly to Gamesturz, Inc., next door to Little Gym. They offer cash or credit for these items.

Want to shop early?

We will have volunteer spots for the entire week. All employees and volunteers can shop early on Thursday, between 12 noon and 6 pm. Volunteer spots are in 3 hour increments, but we can be flexible with your needs. Click here to sign up

What payment methods are accepted?

This is the coolest part! You can use your credit from Uptown Kids OR Our Friends’ Closet, cash, checks, debit/credit cards (MC, Visa, Discover, Amex), or PayPal! (To use PayPal, you must have the PayPal app on your mobile phone. We can quickly send you an invoice at checkout and then you can pay it immediately with your PayPal funds!

Are returns allowed at this Toy Event?

Unless there is damage to a toy that was not seen or mentioned at purchase, we will not be accepting returns at this toy event. Items purchased at the Uptown Kids store will follow the existing store return policy.

What are the public shopping hours?

Friday, November 15th: 10 – 4:00pm

Saturday, November 16th: 10 – 6:00pm

Sunday, November 17th: 12 – 6:00pm  (Some toys will be discounted 25% on Sunday if the consignor has specified to do so).

On Monday, November 18th, all remaining toys will be moved to Uptown Kids by our employees. If we absolutely don’t have room for your toy, we will call you to make arrangements to pick it up. Everything must be removed by Tuesday, November 19th.
